Nederlands: In de herfst van 1944 kwamen de geallieerden steeds dichterbij Breda. Op 27 oktober 1944 was hun dreiging zo groot dat Duitsers de stad begonnen te verlaten. Slechts twee dagen later trokken Poolse soldaten Breda binnen onder leiding van generaal Stanislaw Maczek. Op 29 oktober 1944 was de stad officieel bevrijd door de Eerste Poolse Pantserdivisie. Alfons Raichert vertelt in het kader van het Oral History Project Breda van Stadsarchief Breda zijn verhaal over de bevrijding van Breda. |
