Description
Français : Attribué à Henri Pille, Buveur d’absinthe à Montmartre, encre de Chine, 21x13.8cm, marque «HP» (Lugt L.1353a), collection particulière, œuvre non sourcée. Ancienne collection Edmond-Henri Zeiger-Viallet, et auparavant ancienne collection J.L. Bureau (acquis par E.H. Zeiger le 18 septembre 1940, comme don de Mme J.L. Bureau[réf. nécessaire]). Des recherches récentes (par qui ?)[réf. nécessaire] montrent que ce dessin pourrait être de la main de Théophile Alexandre Steinlen, et s'être trouvé dans les papiers d'Heri Pille, dispersés lors de la vente de ses œuvres après décès (expliquant la marque « HP ») ; toutefois ces recherches sont en cours et l'attribution à Steinlen est prématurée ; dans l'attente de leur finalisation, l'attribution reste à Pille, et le cas échéant sera modifiée si une attribution à Steinlen s'avère confirmée.
