English:
Sándor Petőfi by Tibor Borbás (1977 bronze statue) On a low pedestal, a life-size bronze figure in a cloak with arms spread out, steps big (runs?). The statue alternative, local title is 'Bat')- In 1845 and 1847 he stayed overnight in the local, former Balassa Hotel. In memory of that? his statue was erected in the Palóc-Grove - Palóc (former Erzsébet) Grove /Est. 1898/, Balassagyarmat, Nógrád County, Hungary.

Petőfi Sándor szobra (Alternatív, helyi cím:Denevér) Borbás Tibor alkotását 1977-ben adták át[1] a ligetben. Alacsony talpazaton életnagyságú bronz alak köpenyben széttárt karokkal, nagyot lép (fut?). 1845-ben és 1847-ben az egykori Balassa Szállóban éjszakázott. Ennek emlékére? állították fel szobrát a Palóc-Ligetben. - 1990 óta itt tartják a március 15-i ünnepséget. - Borbás Tibor másik helyi alkotása az ún. Balassi Bálint-sztélé - Nógrád megye, Balassagyarmat, Palóc (volt Erzsébet) liget
