Die Mitte ziert ein aus gerupfter nat. Otter geschnittener Löwe. Das „Feld“ ist mit schöngefleckten Tigerkatzen [offensichtlich jedoch Ozelots] ausgefüllt, deren gelbschwarze Tönung vorteilhaft mit der Färbung der Mosaik harmoniert. Am kunstvollsten ist die Umrahmung gehalten. Die obere Partie zeigt das Einfangen von Pferden mit Lassos; die rechte Seite ein Zebra, Löwin und Löwe und einen Fuchs. Die untere Partie, eine Büffeljagd, die linke Seite ein Reh, Elephanten und einen Hund. Die 4 Ecken endlich zeigen Schilder und Jagdwaffen. Sämmtliche Figuren sind aus nat. Otter geschnitten und teils in den Grund eingenäht, teils aufgesetzt. |
