Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Miro-OE increases mitochondrial movement speed in the axons of Drosophila larval segment neurons. Representative time-lapse video of mitochondrial movement in a segment neuron of Miro-OE Drosophila larva is shown. Mitochondrial movement was visualized by the mitoGFP fluorescence. Miro-OE increases mitochondrial length and anterograde movement speed. Mitochondrial movement to the left represents anterograde axonal transport. The video was acquired at a speed of 2 sec/frame and played at 4 frames/sec (1 s movie time = 8 s real time).
