Description
Italiano: Il gruppo di automotrici ALn 56 serie 1900, costruite in 10 esemplari negli anni 1936/37, fu espressamente concepito per velocizzare il servizio sulla linea a cremagliera Paola-Cosenza.

Vennero quindi realizzate con la trasmissione del moto estesa a tutte le ruote (raddoppiando quindi la massa aderente del mezzo rispetto alle tradizionali serie 1000 e 2000) e con un rapporto al ponte corto, più conveniente nella marcia in salita. Inoltre venne montata una ruota dentata per ogni carrello che però non contribuiva alla trazione che avveniva a sola aderenza naturale (assicurava l'immobilizzazione dell'automotrice in caso di arresto sulla cremagliera). Prestarono servizio attivo sino alla metà degli anni '70.

Qui vediamo i due esemplari ALn 56.1903 + .1907 accantonati presso il Deposito Locomotive di Paola, il 14.07.1986.
