Aje is one of the Yoruba deities that took its roots from Ile-Ife, being the traditional home of Yoruba culture and tradition. Believed to be the custodian of economic activities, wealth and prosperity, came from the nooks and crannies of the country to celebrate the deity. The audience was diverse including market women, captains of industry, foreign tourists, academics, government officials, business magnates, politicians and palace chiefs. This audiovisual was recorded in Ile-Ife, a town in Osun State of Nigeria on the 13th of November 2023. The video features Yeye Aje; Ajetoyin Omilani, who is the chief priestess of Aje in Ile-Ife. The video was directed and produced for the Yoruba Wikimedians User Group by Tunde Oladimeji, a notable documentary film maker in Nigeria |
