Description
English: Operation Khanjar, Part 2, Mission Launch, About 25 helicopters flying back and forward – dropping Marines throughout the Helmand River valley to places where there has never been a permanent ISAF presence before. This is the largest airborne deployment of US Marines since Vietnam. Scenes include the helicopter take off, landing and troops boarding the helicopters. Information presented on or via DVIDS is considered public information and may be distributed or copied unless otherwise specified. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested.
