| Description |
English: Old milestone and bench mark at Gwastadnant. A hastily taken photo of this old milestone whilst parked at temporary traffic lights when I realised workmen were demolishing the roadside wall and laying new pipework. The stone reads:
C,CURIG 7 M, 5 1/2 F GARNARVON 10 M. There is a bench mark below the '10M'. For a cropped close up of the inscription see 1497288. When I passed by again in September 2009 the roadside drystone wall had been rebuilt and the milestone appeared to be in exactly the same place - a job that is a credit to the craftsmen involved. |
