English: Esta impresión artística ilustra un objeto interestelar aproximándose rápidamente a nuestro Sistema Solar. El objeto, expulsado de su sistema planetario de origen hace mucho tiempo, viajó a través del espacio interestelar durante miles de millones de años antes de pasar brevemente por nuestro vecindario cósmico. El observatorio Rubin revelará muchos de estos visitantes interestelares que aún se desconocen. Texto alternativo de la imagen principal: Impresión artística de un pequeño objeto interestelar rocoso que se precipita desde la parte superior derecha hacia el Sistema Solar interior. Las órbitas de los cuatro planetas interiores (Mercurio, Venus, la Tierra, Marte) son completamente visibles, dibujadas como círculos concéntricos verde azulado alrededor de la bola brillante del Sol en el centro.
