English: Uniform illumination triggers body bending of a Platynereis dumerilii larva following unilateral eye ablation. Both left eyes were ablated. The larva is imaged with DIC illumination with a 750 nm long-pass filter. The filter is removed to provide uniform white illumination from the microscope lamp at frame 98. The pigment of the right eye is visible. Scale bar, 50 μm. Time increment: 0.1 s.
