English: A huge dredging was done at the Nalban veri. The good earth about 4 ft deep have been cut from upper surface of entire the Nalban Veri (water body) which was 4 feet depth and the entire earth have been lifted to fill up Rajarhat township or Jyoti Basu Nagar (renamed on 7th October, 2010) during November, 2000 to June, 2001. The southern part of Sector V of Salt Lake, Kolkata, was heavily affected by dust for the entire period. This photograph has been taken by traditional Nikon 35 mm film camera. The negatives was scanned after six years of shooting. As the negatives received some damp, some spots could not been retouched and colors shifted. |
