English: The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 7 Precinct/Transit District 4. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Monday August 21, 2017, at approximately 9:45 a.m. inside of the Essex Street "J" line subway station, the two female victims (a 25 year-old and a 24 year-old) were walking down the stairs to the mezzanine area when the individual snatched $5 in cash from the 25 year-old female's hand. The individual then threw hot coffee on the two victims before he ran up the stairs to the street area and fled westbound on Delancey Street. The two victims refused medical attention at the scene. The individual is described as a: • Male black, 45 to 55 years old, with facial hair and salt and pepper hair; last seen wearing a dark colored long sleeved shirt and light colored jeans. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential. |
