Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Is Just One Large Sample On The Page Which Is About The Diagonal Length Of The Backing Sheet. It Has Been Cut From The Rest Of The Plant. It Consists Of A Main Stem Which Splits Into Three Sections About Halfway Up The Sample. The Three Sections Each Have Several Pairs Of Leaves Which Are Spread Quite Far Apart And Terminate In Large Groups Of Open Flower Blossoms. There Are Three Colored Drawings On The Page. Two Detail The Different Colorings Of The Flowers And Have Close-Ups Of The Brachts. The Third Is A Sketch Of The Calyx And Is 'Much Enlarged'. There Are Two Pencil Inscriptions On The Label. The First Reads 'This Species Very Variable'. And The Second Reads 'N.Y.B.G. [Illegible]'
