野生龍舌蘭（Maguey）與其花莖
龍舌蘭是一種墨西哥特產的植物，當地人稱為Maguey，雖然經常被認為是一種仙人掌，但龍舌蘭其實是與百合較為接近的多汁植物。圖中所見的龍舌蘭是路邊野生的品種，成年的龍舌蘭會長出細長的花莖，開花後吸引蝙蝠來傳遞種子，高聳的花莖有時可以長到5公尺高的程度，造型奇特。
