Description

Nederlands: Kruisafneming. Het lege kruis neemt een centrale positie in. Op de voorgrond zijn de figuren gesitueerd. Rechts is de grot te zien waarin Christus zou worden begraven en links een glooiend landschap met op het voorste plan een stadsgezicht met daarachter een rotspartij. De Maagd Maria –links- slaat haar armen rond haar gestorven zoon, die zojuist van het kruis is gehaald. Zij wordt ondersteund door Johannes, gekleed in een rood gewaad. Achter hen staan twee andere treurende vrouwen (Maria's). Nicodemus en Jozef van Arimathea houden het dode lichaam van Christus vast. Rechts van het kruis staat op een ladder een jonge man in het rood. Eveneens aan de rechterzijde zijn behalve Maria Magdalena nog een oudere man met een korte grijze baard gesitueerd.
