English: Cross of Lothair with Augustus cameo. The intersection of the cross is accented by a magnificent, three-layered sardonyx cameo. The slightly oval, antique cameo shows the turned to the left bust crowned with a laurel wreath of Emperor Augustus, who keeps an eagle scepter in his right hand. Deutsch: Lotharkreuz mit Augustus-Kamee. Die Vierung des Kreuzes ist durch eine prachtvolle, dreischichtige Kamee aus Sardonyx betont. Die leicht ovale, antike Kamee zeigt die nach links gewendete Büste des mit einem Lorbeerkranz gekrönten Kaisers Augustus, der in seiner rechten Hand ein Adlerzepter hält. |
