Op de stranden bij Bloemendaal, Zandvoort en IJmuiden raken veel vakantiehuisjes zwaar beschadigd. De bewoners proberen hun spullen zoveel mogelijk te bergen. De Belgische vrachtvaarder Limbourg strandt op de Hondsbosse Zeewering bij Camperduin. Honderden belangstellenden zien hoe een vertegenwoordiger van een bergingsmaatschappij mbv een zgn. broek van boord terug gehaald wordt naar de wal.
