Description

Lasiodora parahybana (Mello-Leitão,1917)

English: Brazilian salmon pink tarantula (aslo birdeater) adult female (Lasiodora parahybana). This large spider typically grows to a leg span of 20 cm (8 in), although occasionally exceptional specimens can reach leg spans of 25 cm (10 in). Large females can weigh upwards of 100 grams. This venomous spider can eat birds, reptiles and small mammals.
Français : Lasiodora parahybana, une araignée migalomorphe du brésil. Individu femelle adulte. L'animal peu atteindre 20 cm d'envergure, parfois 25, et peser 100 grammes. Cette espèce venimeuse peut manger des oiseaux, des reptiles, et des petits mammifères.
Italiano: Una femmina adulta di Lasiodora parahybana, una specie di tarantola, endemica dello stato di Paraíba, in Brasile. Con i suoi 20 cm di lunghezza (incluse le zampe) per oltre 100 g di peso, questo ragno è uno dei rappresentanti più grandi al mondo dell'intero ordine Araneae.
