English: Buff coat of elk hide with sleeves made of silk, of which now only fragments remain. The coat is collarless and seamed at the waist with long skirts in four pieces.
  • Center front length: body 36.5 cm, 41.5 cm skirts.
  • Chest 105 cm.
  • Center back length: 41.5 cm body, skirts 40.5 cm.
  • Back width 40 cm.
  • Waist 106 cm.
  • Width: skirt hem 281 cm.
  • Length at side: body 24 cm, 43.3 cm skirts.
  • Shoulder Width: 17.6 cm.
  • Sleeve length: 69 cm.
  • Maximum sleeve width: 34 cm.
  • Sleeve width at bottom: 28 cm.
  • Sleeve opening 18 cm.

Sleeves have eight buttonholes; the left sleeve has four silver-wrapped thread covered buttons and the right sleeve has seven buttons left.

The coat's inseam has a 15.5 cm long opening with 8 loops of silver wire. On each side of the loop is a stitched tack of sewing silk. The seams around the front edge of the neck, the shoulders and along the sides of skirt are decorated with three parallel rows of stitching in white linen thread. The lacing at the front has nine groups of two holes in each group on each side. The lacing has blood stains. Skirt seam at center back on the right rear panel has gone up about 1 cm. The sleeves have the remains of their outer shell, a light brown silk atlas (satin) and a lining of light brown taffeta. The coat has shoulder wings with only small remnants of the atlas remaining over the dark brown the canvas that formed inserts in the three-layer fabric. The canvas is coated with a surface for stiffenings' sake. The body of the coat is lined with white linen, presumably as interlining.
