Description
Deutsch: Sitzstatue eines antiken Kriegers (1881) von Reinhold Begas. Diese Sandsteinskulptur wurde für die ehemalige Ruhmeshalle des Berliner Zeughauses geschaffen und befand sich bis 1949 mit einem Pendant an den Aufgängen einer Treppe im Lichthof. In den letzten Kriegstagen 1945 wurden beide Statuen vandalisiert.
English: Seated statue of a warrior in classical antiquity (1881) by Reinhold Begas. This sandstone sculpture was created for the former Hall of Fame in the Berlin Armory and was located until 1949 at a staircase in the atrium together with a counterpart. Both statues were vandalized in the final days of World War II.
