Slovenščina: Farme krokodilov so nekoč vzbujale priokus eksotičnosti, danes pa po svetu rejo tovrstnih živali na specializiranih posestvih uvrščajo med živinorejo. Lastniki farm namreč v urejenih bazenih in drugih prostorih, namenjenih gojenju nevarnih plazilcev, poleg posvečanja reprodukciji in pitanju skrb usmerjajo tudi v trženje krokodiljega mesa, kože in zob.
Tako kot vsaka intenzivna živinoreja, tudi farmska reja krokodilov vzbuja pomisleke, čeprav je prav slednja krokodile rešila pred zagotovim izumrtjem. |
