The remnant of the Kittinger Block, photographed in 2007
South Second Street at that time is today's Occidental Avenue South. That area was severely damaged in the 1949 earthquake. Only the ground floor of this building was successfully saved at that time. It is not clear how closely the design of that building corresponded to Fisher's drawing here, which was presumably a visualization drawing for a building not yet constructed; it was not until 1895 that a building was constructed on this site: Summary for 124 S Washington ST S / Parcel ID 5247800515, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
