English: Colour woodblock print, oban tate-e. Four theatrical characters with borders separating them: Ichikawa Kuzo as Teraoka Heiemon (top left), Onoe Baiko as O-Karu (lower right), and Sawamura Chojuro (lower left) as Oboshi Yuranosuke in the play 'Kanadehon Chushingura' (仮名手本忠臣蔵) at the Nakamura theatre in the 7th month of Kaei 2 (1849); Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Tanizo in the play of 'Date kurabe Okuni kabuki' (伊達競阿国劇場) at the Karawarasaki theatre in the 3rd month of Kaei 2 (1849).
