Svenska: FIGURER, ett par, Påfågeltuppar på sockel i form av klippa. De här praktfulla fåglarna tillverkades för den europeiska marknaden. I många kulturer, inklusive den kinesiska, trodde man att påfåglar var odödliga.Figures. Pair of porcelain peacocks on rocks, decorated in overglaze enamelsQing dynasty, mid 18th century. These gorgeous birds were made as decorative models for the European market. Many cultures, including Chinese, believed that peacocks were immortal birds. In Europe they were imported from India and kept as exotic pets. |
