Description
Svenska: FIGUR. Torso (manlig). Gravfynd.Ihålig och klädd i rustning med halskrage, nedanför midjan ett bälte. Glasyren är brun-, grön-, gul- och vitfläckig samt finsprucken. Godset är grågult. Sannolikt en Lokapala som enligt den buddistiska uppfattningen var vaktare av en av himlens fyra delar. Vid inköpet var figuren restaurerad med huvud, armar, ben och postament delvis av obränd lera, delvis av bitar av andra tang-figurer, dessutom övermålad med oljefärg och belagd med lös lera. Inköpt av Wilhelmina von Hallwyl, 21 maj 1912, hos Bukowskis Konsthandel, Stockholm. Pris 450 Kr.Figure, a fragment (Torso). Tang-dynasty.
