Slovenščina: Predavanje želim odpreti s teorijo rasne države, kot jo je Michel Foucault artikuliral v predavanjih »Družbo je treba braniti«: Predavanja na Collège de France (1975–1976), iz dveh razlogov. Prvič, ker odpira možnost vnovičnega razmisleka o mestu rase (in molku okrog nje) znotraj zahodne epistemologije (pa tudi o razmerju med biopolitiko in raso), in drugič zato, ker bi želela preusmeriti polje razprave k nekropolitiki, ki danes upravlja prek smrti in ki osvetljuje sodobne pojave proliferacije ekonomske in pravno/politične pogrešljivosti človeških življenj, torej smrtonosne ritualizirane mehanike življenja, kot jo je Achille Mbembe leta 2003 artikuliral v svojem eseju z naslovom »Necropolitics«. V slovenski prostor je Mbembejev koncept nekropolitike vpeljala Marina Gržinić, ko je leta 2008 v besedilu z naslovom »Reartikulacija razmer ali evropsko-slovenski nekrokapitalizem« (Reartikulacija #3) prek pojmov nekrokapitalizma in nekropolitike na novo opredelila družbene, politične in kulturne razmere v Sloveniji. Mbembe je v omenjenem eseju argumentiral, da Foucaultov pojem biopolitike ne zadošča za razlago sodobnih oblik podrejanja življenja, ter predlagal pojem politike temelječe na smrti, ki strukturira pojmovanje suverenosti in političnega.
Jovita Pristovšek je docentka na AVA – Akademija za vizualne umetnosti, Ljubljana. Leta 2017 je pod mentorstvom prof. Marine Gržinić doktorirala iz filozofije na Podiplomski šoli ZRC SAZU, Ljubljana, do nedavnega pa je bila podoktorska raziskovalka na Akademiji za likovno umetnost na Dunaju (2019–2021). Od leta 2018 sodeluje pri izvedbi predavanj, ki jih na Podiplomski šoli ZRC SAZU v okviru svojega predmeta vodi prof. Gržinić. Njeno zadnje delo obsega: Strukturni rasizem, teorija in oblast (Sophia, 2019), Opposing Colonialism, Antisemitism, and Turbo-Nationalism: Rethinking the Past for New Conviviality (sourednica z M. Gržinić in S. Uitz; Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2020), Stories of Traumatic Pasts: Colonialism, Antisemitism, and Turbo-Nationalism (sourednica z M. Gržinić, S. Uitz in C. Jauernik; Hatje Cantz, Weltmuseum Wien, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna; Peek Project No. AR 439-G24/IBK, 2020). Predavanje bo potekalo v slovenskem jeziku. Moderiral ga bo Nejc Kralj, član programskega odbora IDŠ. |
