Description
English: Computer model that fits the light curve of the star V1400 Centauri (J1407) during its eclipse by the ringed object J1407b, as seen in SuperWASP data in 2007. The model for J1407b's rings is described in Kenworthy and Mamajek (2015), published in the Astrophysical Journal at https://doi.org/10.1088/0004-637X/800/2/126. The code for this model and animation is provided in https://github.com/mkenworthy/exorings (specifically generated by the file "ring_animation_press_release.py").
