Ise Ileke is a common vocation among the Yoruba women. Ileke is often used for several spiritual practices, for beauty and adornment. They are made in different colors, and each of the colors of ileke have what they represent which can means different things. This audiovisual was recorded in Iseyin, a town in Oyo State of Nigeria on the 20th of July 2022. The video features Morenikeji Ajigbotorisa (Alate Ileke), an Ileke producer in Iseyin. The video was directed and produced for the Yoruba Wikimedians User Group by Tunde Oladimeji, a notable documentary film maker in Nigeria. |
