Description
English: Bombardment of Mehrabad Airport, Tehran, Iran by Iraqi Air forces on the first day of Iran-Iraq war, by Abbas Fathi, photojournalist of Kayhan Newspaper, September 22, 1980. Notable in the rear is a column of thick smoke, rising from the place where a C-130 Hercules transport of the IRIAF was destroyed by bombs dropped by Iraqi Tu-22s.
