English: Exemplary video of increase in Fluo-4 fluorescence in the presence and absence of the calcium chelator EGTA. A fixed radiant exposure of 27 mJ/cm2 and irradiation time of 40 ms were used. EGTA is a calcium chelator which leads to a less pronounced increase in Fluo-4 fluorescence after laser manipulation. However, an intercellular calcium wave among non perforated cells is still observable. Scale bar 50 μm. |
