Het ss Nijkerk brengt uit Afrika nieuwe dieren voor Artis; In de haven van Amsterdam arriveert een zeeschip (ss Nijkerk) uit Afrika. Aan boord bevinden zich kisten en kooien met dieren. De beesten zijn bedoeld als nieuwe aanwinsten voor de dierentuin Artis. SHOTS: - Schip ligt voor de wal; havenarbeiders lossen de lading; - in Artis brengen mannen de kooien, kisten etc. naar binnen en laten de dieren los in hun respectieve onderkomens: kraanvogels; een lama; leeuwenwelpen; een zebra; een antilope; een paar zwarte zwanen.;
