Nederlands: WERKENDAM - Nog even en dan verdwijnt de gemeente Werkendam. Ter herinnering aan de gemeentenaam plaatst de gemeente Werkendam in ieder dorp een herinneringsboom en een bankje. Woensdag 14 november werd het bankje in Werkendam onthuld.
Woensdagochtend was het wethouder Machiel de Gelder die, met hoge witte laarzen en de schep in de hand, de herinneringsboom in de grond zette. De boom en het bankje staan tegenover het hertenkamp en woonzorgcomplex d'Altenaer. De geplante boom is een honingboom, die in de lente prachtige witte bloemen geeft waar bijen op af komen.
