Description
English: Hand cart from Brett's Colonists' Guide, p 382, a handbook of useful knowledge for European settlers in New Zealand, who were not used to southern hemisphere seasons and needed to learn a wide range of new farming skills. A hand cart was especially good for garden and yard work as it carried a larger load than a wheelbarrow and was less likely to sink in soft ground.
