| Description |
English: Hamble Brook A typical chalk stream, with an ephemeral source near Turville SU 774 907 and more permanent springs around SU 778 890.
It's looking very healthy in this picture. In years when it doesn't rain much and the water table is low, the stream is dry for its entire length for a lot of the time. Then the channel looks messy and muddy, full of dead cress and weeds. However, it is also quite capable of coming out of its banks and flowing through the streets of Hambleden. |
