“平重衡卿 西海の合戦に打ちまけとらハれとなりて 鎌倉へ下り給ふとき 池田の宿に泊り給ふに 熊野侍従出て宗盛卿に寵せられしを思ひなつかしくて 琴弾哥うたひて勞を慰めける“
捕らえられた平重衡が鎌倉へ移るとき、池田宿（天竜川西岸にあった古来の宿場、現在の静岡県磐田市）で熊野侍従に歓待された。熊野侍従は能の『熊野』でも知られる平宗盛の寵を得た女性で、奥には重衡と梶原景時とされる人物が描かれている。
