Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Kaptajn Ziegler, a tysk lejesoldat i den svenske hær, bliver dræbt af Ib Abelsøn som hævn for hans søster Soffi, hvis død kaptajnen var delvist ansvarlig for. Officererne ved vinduet har lige set det spor af krudt, som Ib Abelsøn og Kasper Dam har lagt i gården på herregården Holmegaard, hvor de er.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. Captain Ziegler, a German mercenary hired by the Swedish Army, is killed by Ib Abelsøn as revenge for his sister Soffi whose dead the captain was in part responsible for. The officers at the window has just seen how just seen the track of gunpowder Ib Abelsøn and Kasper Dam has been laying in the court of the mansion Holmegaard where they are.
