Ce tableau avait été conçu par Lebrun pour l'extrémité Nord de la Galerie : Cybèle, déesse personnifiant la terre, est sur son char traîné par deux lions. C'est Joseph Guichard, qui compléta le compartiment vierge deux siècles plus tard en reprenant les indications laissées par Lebrun. |
