Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hurricane Humberto shown here in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean is part of an uptick in tropical activity. Tropical Storm Gabrielle north of Bermuda continues to maintain a small area of deep convection and may intensify as it transitions to extra tropical status. The broad area of low pressure over the Yucatan Peninsula has shown signs of organization and has a medium chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 5 days as it moves into the Bay of Campeche. The low pressure system east of the Leeward Islands is expected to continue moving westward and remains disorganized. This image was taken by GOES East at 1745Z on September 11, 2013.
