Anne Marie Louise d’Orléans, dite la Grande Mademoiselle, née le 29 mai 1627 et morte le 5 avril 1693, duchesse de Montpensier, dauphine d'Auvergne, comtesse d'Eu et de Mortain et princesse de Joinville et de Dombes.

Fille de Gaston d'Orléans et de Marie de Bourbon,  petite-fille du roi Henri IV, cousine germaine de Louis XIV.

L'histoire la désigne sous le surnom de « Grande Mademoiselle », en raison du titre de « Grand Monsieur » porté par son père, Gaston de France (1608-1660), depuis la naissance de Philippe, frère cadet de Louis XIV, appelé alors « Petit Monsieur » ; Gaston avait d'abord porté celui de « Monsieur » en tant que frère cadet du roi Louis XIII.


Elle tient son titre de duchesse de Montpensier de sa mère, Marie de Bourbon, duchesse de Montpensier, richissime et unique héritière d'une branche cadette des Bourbons. À cela s'ajoute la fortune de son père, ce qui fait de la Grande Mademoiselle la princesse la plus riche et la plus titrée d'Europe.
