English: First Class Dining Saloon on the 'Orama' (1911)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Orama' (1911) showing the well and glass dome of the First Class Dining Saloon, on the Upper Deck (a view along the centre line). The tripod and camera are reflected in the mirrored panel at the forward end of the Saloon.

The main public rooms on the 'Orama' were designed by the architect Robert Whyte (1873-1949). The First Class Dining Saloon was decorated in the Neoclassical style. The carving and plastering work was carried out by the Bromsgrove Guild of Applied Arts.
