English: Preserved biological specimen on paper. Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Is One Large Sample. It Contains Of A Large Group Of Roots And Many Different Stems And Leaves Extending From The Group. Many Are Curved And Folded To Fir The Page. Originally. The Sample Was Identified As Festuca Nutans, Also Known As Nodding Fescue. It Was Corrected To Festuca Obtusa By Peter F. Zika In March Of 1983. Information listed as Content Date and Place Descriptions are taken from the original specimen label. Place Descriptions are locations that are not necessarily publicly accessible within the park's boundary. Taking plants, fish, wildlife, rocks, or minerals is prohibited within park boundaries except in accordance with other regulations of Chapter I of 36 CFR or pursuant to the terms and conditions of a specimen collection permit. |
