Français : "Isles Britaniques ou sont les Royaumes d'Angleterre, d'Escosse et d'Irelande. Tom: IV pag. 354." Signes heraldiques de Northumberland, Mercie etc. English: Map of the British Isles. Part 4 page 354. Royal arms shown incorrectly for date of 1727, at the turn of the reigns of Kings George I and George II. Royal arms of Great Britain (1714-1801) (see Category:Royal arms of Great Britain (1714-1801)) Royal arms of the House of Hanover, Kings of Great Britain and Electors of Hanover, until the union of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801. Actually shown here are the arms of Queen Victoria (1837-1901) to the present day, clearly not imagined in 1727. The attributed arms of the Kingdom of Northumbria of the Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy are usually given as Paly of eight or and gules, but are here shown as A griffin segreant. The top coat of arms at left is supposedly for a Prince of Wales, but is not one of those generally shown for any of the native Welsh Princes. Nederlands: Kaart van Groot-Britannië en Ierland. Deel 4 bladzijde 354. |
