Nederlands: Stadsmuseum Almelo heeft een expositie over Jules Hedeman. Hij werd een beroemd journalist in zijn tijd bij de Franse krant Le Matin. In 1911 kreeg hij de Franse nationaliteit. Vijf jaar later sneuvelde hij op 46-jarige leeftijd in de Hel van Verdun.
De Eerste Wereldoorlog staat in de expositie centraal. Het gaat echter niet alleen over de figuur Jules Hedeman maar ook over de invloed die deze oorlog had in Nederland, in Almelo. Naast fotomateriaal en krantenknipsels zijn er verschillende voorwerpen te zien. De expositie is nog te zien tot zaterdag 10 september. Stadsmuseum Almelo is van dinsdag tot en met zaterdag van 13.00 tot 17.00 uur geopend. |
