Description
English:
Lutheran Church. Neo-Gothic style, 1888. It was designed by Ludwig Schöne in 1886. The construction was led by Italian master builder Valentino Morandini. The interior wood furnishings are the work of Lajos Hancz, master carpenter from Szombathely. The interior was painted by the Viennese painter Josef/Joseph Kott. Furnishings: Neo-Gothic, 1888. The organ is a 17 varied, 2-manual, mechanically controlled instrument of József Angster, organ builder from Pécs, made in 1890. On the altarpiece is an oil painting by Pál Vágó (1888): "Let the little children come to me...". Next to it is the symbol of the four evangelists. - The stained glass windows were destroyed by bombing in 1945 and restored in 1947. Listed church. Part of a local grade listed architectural ensemble. - 19 Thököly Imre Street, Körmend, Vas County, Hungary.
