Description
English: The global distribution of human skin tones matches the intensity of UV radiation. At the equator, where radiation is highest, dark skin protects against radiation damage. In the north, on the other hand, lighter skin is an advantage.
Deutsch: Die weltweite Verteilung menschlicher Hauttöne passt zur Intensität von UV-Strahlung. Am Äquator, wo die Strahlung am höchsten ist, schützt dunkle Haut vor Strahlungsschäden. Im Norden dagegen ist hellere Haut von Vorteil.
