Townsend sailed last evening, on board of which I shiped the articles you order, as per Copies of the bills [enclosed?] I received this week pr Trotter & Douglass line 6 [illegible] [cloves?] & 6 do. Linn Seed, for which there is no immediate sale have therefore stored it. also rec’d 14 [bags?] [sand?] which I have sold at 8 [illegible] [illegible] 22/- for [firkins?] for cash. The article of [A P Lea?] has considerably improved in price since you left here. The Americas Cargo sold yesterday at 74 to 84 [cents?] avarage about 78 [cents?]. I will send you our price current tomorrow which will probably give particulars. D W Townsend has paid on to me the 200 Doll sent by Richard. Cotton yarns is scarce he informs me he cannot purchase under 24/ [cents?] and that not assorted as you wish, he therefore prefers sending an order to the factory, the price will be 25 [cents] and it wil probably be sent next Week in haste Yours Edward G.
