Figurée en buste et en miniature dans un ovale, portant les ordres de Marie-Louise et des dames de la Croix étoilée.

MARIE-CHRISTINE OF BOURBON-SICILY (1779-1849), QUEEN OF SARDINIA MINIATURE PORTRAIT, PAINTED ON IVORY CIRCA 1825, FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE KING UMBERTO II OF ITALY.

Sous verre avec cadre en vermeil. Poids brut : 8 g.

Provenance: -collection de feu le roi Umberto II d'Italie (1904-1983) -légué par le souverain à un membre de sa famille.


Marie-Christine de Bourbon des Deux-Siciles (1779-1849), fille de Ferdinand Ier des Deux-Siciles et de Marie-Caroline d'Autriche, elle était la nièce de la reine Marie-Antoinette et la soeur de Marie-Amélie de Bourbon des Deux-Siciles, dernière reine des Françaia. En 1807, elle épousa Charles-Félix de Savoie. Le couple n'eut pas d'enfant et régna sur la Sardaigne de 1821 à 1831, on leur doit la restauration de l'abbaye de Hautecombe, où ils sont enterrés.
