Description
English: Dykkerdragt 1838 Illustration I I 1838 indleverede brødrene Møller en ansøgning om patent til en forbedret dykkerdragt. Baggrunden var tilsyneladende, at den hidtidige dragt havde vist sig uegnet til arbejde på en mudret havbund. Brødrene ønskede derfor at supplere med en kjolelignende dragt med bred bund. Desuden ønskede de at udstyre dykkeren med en skammel, et sekskantet hjul, "hvis aksel fastgøres på siden af maskinen, og ved hjælp af hvilket dykkeren kan bevæge sig frem eller tilbage" samt en valse, der skulle gøre det lettere at bevæge hjulet. Endelig var det tanken at forsyne dykkeren med en bådshage til at gribe fat i interessante genstande og skubbe andre til side.
