Summary
[edit]DescriptionDoncaster York Road railway station (site) (geograph 3491897).jpg |
English: Doncaster York Road railway station (site) Although built to carry passengers, this short branch line apparently never did. Opened in 1916 jointly by the Hull & Barnsley Railway and the Great Central Railway, this ended up as a goods yard until the late 1960s when it closed. View south east from the side of (the new) York Road. The tracks crossed the car park, roughly left to right. The buffers would have been on what is now St Mary's roundabout, just out of view to the right. |
